ECE Drop Spindle Problem

It's been a while since I've posted, but I ECE is close, and maybe someone's run into this before.

I ordered the 2.5 inch 3/4 to 1/2 ton conversion spindles a while back, along with the matching rotors, calipers and pads, bearings, etc.

I've got everything together finally, but am having an issue with the brakes. The rotor doesn't seem to be on all the way, it's about .5 inches too far out, so I can't stick the outer brake pad into the caliper. I've got that nut torqued all the down to the end of threads, still not far enough.

Anyone seen this before?

You know what, scratch that. I think I had a stroke of stupid.

I believe I shoved my rear end axle bearings into the rotor :|
No wonder they were so hard to get in there.

Re: ECE Drop Spindle Problem

bearing cap, not bearing, FYI. Don't do that :P

I swapped them out for the slimmer bearing cap, (I had everything in a box, and wasnt paying attention) and the rotor slid right on, got the outer bearing in, and the caliper with pads, all good.
