Red face Chevy Duty's Response to this Board

saw your post on the 67-72 Chevy Truck Forum. Just wanted to let you know that the majority of people that work for us own, have owned, or are at least familiar with Chevrolet & GMC pickups. If everyone that worked here owned a pickup I wouldn't make any money from all of the employee discounts!!! Ha ha! And, I don't let anyone step foot in our door who owns a rice rocket. I hate those things too!!! That is one of the reasons we don't have an accessory catalog because I like trucks to look at least close to original. You might give us another try if you are trying to locate a part or are shopping around for better pricing. If you have any technical issues feel free to contact Craig at ext. 501. He is one of our more knowledgeable truck guys for 67-72 pickups.

Thank you,

Robert Mata

Just wanted to let you know that I have dealt with Chevy Duty since Nov. of last year exclusively.I have never had a problem once.Have talked or emailed Craig a couple of times on tech matters and he has been very helpful.Thats one of the reasons I haven't dealt with any of the other vendors on this board. In fact Chevy Duty was the only vendor I knew of online until I got on this board.Thanks.

I didn't buy any parts from them, I did buy some books, and I emailed questions and Craig answered every one knowledgeably. I was kind of wondering why everyone else had so much trouble.

I've gotten parts from them in the past and have never been dissatisfied. They gave me a shirt too.

Talking

Greetings...
I think the point is this. We all slip once in a while and that needs to be taken into consideration when we get ticked off at somebody. It's not when one makes a mistake that counts, it's how one responds to the mistake that is what is important. I have not dealt with Chevy Duty because I have bought most of my Chevy needs from Wes and Paul...without any problems, but then again I would not be afraid to deal with Chevy Duty. Especially since they were willing to come on this board to defend themselves. Some suppliers would just blow you off. At least they were willing to aknowledge your concerns and respond to them. This shows you they are at least listening to you and want to earn your business! If you got a beef with them I would say give them a second chance and then come back with feed back on your experience. There is a dealer in Fla. who I will not deal with again because his business dealings with me. Even after various emails I got no response from him so I chalked him up to an uncaring supplier.
You know...profit over customer satisfaction. In all hobbies such as ours it's something we have to deal with. Just my .0003 cents worth.

Hey Chevy Duty...Do I get a free hat or shirt for this vote of support? Just kidding.
Best wishes and have a great year!!

Count me in! It's nice to deal with real humans. We all make mistakes, and, you are right, it's how you handle them that matters. I've got to try Chevy Duty, WES, GMC Paul.

I met Chevy Duty Folks at the Cedar Rapids Swap Meet a couple of years ago. Nice Guy, bought some manuals-have not as of yet purchased parts yet,...that is yet, but I try to support as many "Small Guys" as possible. Like they say, First Impressions mean a lot. As far as I am concerned, they are OK.

Hey Robert at Chevy Duty, can a person buy stuff off your showroom floor? Was thinking about driving up and saving the shipping one of these days.

Yes I was just there a couple weeks ago and got a bunch of stuff. When you are there check out the mileage on the 80's black 4x4 in the showroom, you might get a surprise. Its a huge very very nice showroom.
