i have my 88 blazer and want to put a Dana 44 front axle from a 78 blazer instead of the 10 bolt. will the axles from the 10 match up to the 44?

Re: axle swap

I believe it's all bolt-in. I'm not sure if the yokes/u-joints are the same though.

Re: axle swap

That'll range from $250 to $750 for the set. Shop around.

What's wrong with your 10 bolt?

Re: axle swap

IMO, I wouldn't bother. GM D44's are so hard to get parts for anymore, and I've seen 10-bolt fronts handle the same types of abuse the D44 can take. Losing the 10-bolt rear, go for it if the price is right... but the worst that'll happen to you front is you snap an axle and the axles in those are a dime a dozen compared to D44 front axles.
