Prescott to Seligman
This is a county/forest service road that runs north out of Prescott to Seligman. It starts outside of Prescott at Williamson valley Road and terminates in Seligman after going under I 40. You travel north past Inscription Canyon Ranch, Talking Rock, Indian Peak and Red Mountain. Once you get past the hilly area you run the ridgetop between Turkey Canyon and Big Chino Wash which is part of Chino Valley.

Re: Prescott to Seligman
This road is approximately 40 to 50 miles long. We had lunch at Lillys in Seligman, then went east on 40 to Ash Fork and back to Prescott on 89. We used our 2000 K1500 Suburban 4x4, so far the only modifications are the H2 Hummer rear coils and a Lock Right Easy Locker to replace the blown up G-80. It has 3.73's and runs 285/75x16's for tires (roughly 32 to 33 inch tires). Future plans call for 3/4 torsion bars for the front to level it out, heavier tie rods, and some substantial rock rails/steps instead of the factory plastic ones. We made this trip on 7-2-2012.

Re: Prescott to Seligman
Looks like fun. We were going to run this last March, but the snow was too deep--and still falling, so we figured it would be better on a drier day. That is a neat old bridge there.

Re: Prescott to Seligman
That bridge is just after you pass some ranch buildings and the road swings almost due north at that point. The monsoon weather was just starting to come in and we really did not get much rain until the 4th heading back to California. It was still hot and I would prefer to do this in the fall when it was cooler. What was fun was a little farther up the road the cows were crossing and we had to slow down for them. Reminded me of when I was a kid back east driving down farm roads when a farmer would be moving his herd.
