Thats a shame, not a very good match at all. I would chuck the box and find a stepside box. Those old trucks just don't work w/ a fleetside box.

Talk about a mismatch of stuff slammed together for something? Only thing I know that has so many unrelated pieces in it is me!

It's up to $1625.00 with 15 bids. It's a private auction with the bidders identity protected. I'm not seein' a 16 hundred dollar truck here and something smells fishy to me

If the cab was raised up to the same level as the bed it might not look so bad. I disagree that fleetsides don't fit these trucks. I had a 59 Apache that looked awesome as a fleetside truck. It was an original fleetside of course. I wouldn't say it is a total lost cause but not really worth 1600.

I used to own this 59 long fleet. I bought it from the 2nd owner of over 30 years. It had a I-6 with a 4 speed granny on the floor. Except for rims, it was original including floor starter button. Perfect wide rear window, with chrome bumper and grill. No rust that I know of. I sold it for $800 a few years ago.

Here's a brighter pic. It had the chrome emblems on the bed, i beleive it said fleetside. I bought it with an Alaskan camper on the bed which I gave to someone on the way home after I bought it. I didn't like the looks of the camper so I told this guy if he took it off, it was his. I also gave him the spotlight that went through the left cowl. It had a generator (not alternator) and an oil bathed filter if i remember right. I drove it as is until I got tired of it.

Yuck!

Those trucks look great with the steel fleetside bed...the one with the little chrome pencil shapes along the bedsides. But not with a '88-98 bed! Looks like the truck was sitting at a stoplight and a '88-98 rear ended it, lol.
