What is this wire...
The green wire is bound together with the yellow one going to the coil... where is it supposed to go? Please help

Temperature sending unit, usually installed near the front of the left head.

It looks similar to the horn wire.... but if it's run together with the coil wire, that's not it.

It looks like there is sender there, but it doesn't look like the correct one.

no tach on my dash, not that makes a difference. On the wiring harness it is with that coil wire. That 2 prong sender has me worried. It is similar to the horn wire, but i think the horn wire is heavier gauge.

They look more like "drippers" LOL.
If it is a green wire, in the engine harness with that loom and that connector, it goes here: It looks like you have the wrong sender in that head, it should look more like this:

I hooked mine up today since it hasn't been hooked up since I got the truck and my temp gauge pegged out on the hot side. Plus someone in the past moved my temp sonsor from the front of the left head to the rear of the right head. Maybe I will just replace the sensor unless anyone has any other ideas.

I believe 73 up had the sensor in the rear of the right head
