I would like clarification. Whenever I bring up someone low balling parts I have for sale, I am told it is OK. In the past I would not make offers on parts and someone else would come behind me and make an offer and I would miss out. What am I supposed to do?

Buyers Code of Conduct 67-72chevytrucks.com

I. Do not lead sellers on. If you have no intention of purchasing an item, do not lead a seller to believe you are.

II. Make initial contact with the seller in the thread. Failure to make initial contact for parts you are interested in via the thread will result in account restrictions.

III.Keep in contact with the seller. Ensure you contact them when payment has been sent. Failure to contact seller within 48 hours of posting you will purchase the item will forfeit purchasing rights.

IV.Ask the seller for details and pictures of the item you are purchasing, to help ensure a smooth transaction.

V. Keep a fair timeframe for sending payment. Two weeks is the standard. If the seller chooses to give less or more time, it will be stated clearly in the ad. If you have not sent payment in that amount of time, the item will go to the next inline, or be relisted.

VI.If you do not like the price of an item, look further. Comments on value, condition etc will not be tolerated.

VII.If you have a problem with a seller, contact that forums Administrator. Do not bring the problem into the forums.

VIII.Please use the Review Forum for all comments after the transactions are completed.

67-72chevytrucks.com is in no way responsible for any part of the transactions within these forums, and will in no form be held liable for and not limited to refunds, parts or shipping. We will make every reasonable attempt to assist you with any unforeseen issues that may arise, but be aware you are buying at your own risk.

Re: NOS PARTS and moparts

Rick the first set looked like leaf spring brackets.
The second set looks like coil spring brackets.

I have those already, so I will pass.

I take this to mean not to say "those are junk and not worth what you are asking" or "I get those at the wrecking yard all day for half that".

IMO someone needs to ammend the rules to state "do not make offers unless the seller has states that it is ok to do so" or something to that effect, then follow through on enforcing them.

Re: NOS PARTS and moparts

Thats just silly, you can make all the offers you want to.. however a seller does not have to accept the offer. It is the same as classified ads etc. If you need further help with this, please by all means PM me.

Also those are guidelines, not set fast rules. That is why they are called guidelines and not word for word in the forum rules...

I understand a seller doesnt have to accept an offer. THat is what is silly. I dont think that the seller should get all torqued out of shaope when I make what I feel is a reasonable offer. All they have to do is say no. My point was to make a reply in the thread so that I would know what was up. It created frustration being ignored.

Then move along..at this point you are hijacking his sale thread. If a seller ignores you, then close the thread. As stated, you can contact me via pm.
