top radiator hose

Need a top radiator hose for my 66 c-10. has a 350 with an 70-80's thermostat housing neck pointing toward the drivers side at a 45 deg angle, not straight ahead like an original 66 would be. Radiator is a top tank with the hose neck on the drivers side near the corner. And my alternator is on the passenger side.

I have seen a lot of pics of engines on the forum with the hose I need with the same setup. What is the application to get at the parts store. is it a 71-72 c-10 hose or an 74-85 c-10 hose, or other? I want a molded hose not a flex hose.

Please help.

Re: top radiator hose

not the greatest picture, but I used one of those flexible hoses, works great! I recommend that you get your hose clamps from your local industrial hose supplier, ask for "silicone" hose clamps. They have an inner band which protects the hose from being damaged by the gear clamps.

Re: top radiator hose

An upper hose I have used in the past for '63-'66 with a small block with an original size radiator, is one for a '67-'69 Camaro with a small block. You may have to trim it a little.

Re: top radiator hose

If you're still looking for a part number I installed a Dayco #70344 on mine this weekend. It's a 1963 with a 350 out of a 1972 ( sounds like the same set up as yours). I trimed about 1 1/2 " off the long side and it just clears under the factory '72 air filter assembly.

Hope this helps,
-G

Thanks for the help. Hopefully one of those will work for me.
