Re: Project Grande Slam: Coley's Hot Rod Shop
Just to clarify -- I asked for opinions. It's tough to express tone on here, but I welcome any and all input. Please don't take anything I say as defensive, I'm just weighing pros and cons..
I've even considered waiting, and saving a little then buying the wheels in the spring time. It just sucks, as I want to see it dropped. I think the hubcaps are out (for me) I like them and all, but I like the look of big brakes and something that's going to handle like it's on rails. I have everything I need but wheels and shocks. I'm really no closer than before, just saying I really like that Eagle 227 wheel. And they are $216 F/ and $235 R. I could be in the whole set for less than $1,000. I like Streeters, Coys, and all the others I have mentioned. My main concern is salty roads in the winter and just overall drivability, no garage to keep it, and a busy lifestyle that wont allow me to wash it as often as I'd like to. Dang .. I don't know. Bottom line, budget is becoming an issue if I ever expect to finish the stepper. I'll have two show trucks before I know it and momma is not going to allow me to get another 'Driver'. .. ![]()
