Gmpp e-rod 5.3
Living here in Cali smog laws are strict, saw this about 50 state legal engine swap with the 5.3, thinking about this for down the road as my 305 is getting old and tired, any of my Cali brothers done this swap yet, 5G's for the complete kit minus a few odds and ends sounds like this would be the way to go to freshen up my Silverado

Re: Gmpp e-rod 5.3
The only other option I can think of, which also gets you a matching 4L60E is to buy a wrecked low mileage donor truck that still has a good drive train. You then swap EVERYTHING over and then your truck gets smogged as the donor truck. If you can sell some left over parts from the donor and sell the rest for scrap, you stand to make some of your money back.

Re: Gmpp e-rod 5.3
Doing an e rod ls3 6.2 now in a caprice you can put in a 5.3 60e from wrecked truck a lot easier and keep it smog legal not sure on the 5.3 e rod but the 6.2 does not support cruise control and also computer will not run a trans a little food for thought
