GM part number on NOS posi??
I was wondering if anyone has the part number for a 3:73 posi carrier for a 72 12 bolt rear end. I came across a NOS posi unit and want to see if it is really for 3:73 as it was advertised. Thanks for your help.

I have the GM parts book here. Trying to figure it out for you.
Gear set for 63-72 Ser. 10(4wd)(2ser.)(3:73)3831912 Housing 72 Ser. 10 (4wd)blazer (K) 6272169 72 Ser. 10 Blazer (C) 6272170 Case 71-72 Ser. 10 blazer w/P trac. (3:73)(4:11) 393 8932 This make any sense?

the number that I have is 3996153 anyone know what it is? I guess he said he bought it for his 73 gmc jimmy with a 3:73 gear ratio, but never installed it.
