New to Site from Va
Well here goes nothing, i like long walks on the beach, im 6ft2, 280l.....whoops wrong site.
Heres the real post. My name is Dustin. Im from Central Virginia and if my user name doesnt say it all, then i shall explain. Ive been building hondas for years now and have had several fun cars, but my true dream has been to build a V8. Whether it be a 307, 406sbc, or a fully blown 454 bbc. A friend of mine has a 70 C-10 with a 355 sbc and i fell in love with everything about it. The rumble, the look, the overall stoutness of the truck. So as of this weekend, i sold all my honda parts and my JRSC 1.6 sohc VTEC fully built 1990 Civic. Today im going to go look at a 69 C-10 with a 4 speed granny gear. My plans are gonna be 307 or 383 or possibly a 355. T5 5 spd tranny. 3.83 or 4.11 gear. Ive selected a 660 holley 4bbl carb to base my v8 around. I searched google for about 2 hours and found this site, it has ALOT of active members and alot of information. So here i am. I stayed up till about 1 am reading post from here. I see many of late nights reading the little tips and tricks of these beasts. I will try my best to be an asset to this site. |
