68 Dash removal

hello, i have a 68 c-10 , I am trying to remove the dash panel with the guages. i removed the screws, and it looks like the light and wiper knobs are holding it on. I am try to be careful as not to break anything, I pulled off the wiper knob, light knob I cant get off and it looks like a need a special tool with to prongs to remove the light brezel? My question is do i need a special tool and where do i get it , and is thier any other way or trick to get the guage cluster off, i want to paint the bash .

Thanks Rich

Re: 68 Dash removal

If you reach up under the dash, there is a spring loaded pin that you need to push in to release the headlight switch shaft. You will probably have to wiggle the shaft (haha) while working the button to get it to release. I have a pair of right angle needle nose that I use to turn the bezels from the inside indentions on the bezel, but I have only had 71/72 trucks, so I am not sure what the 68 bezel
