Gas Tank Question /74 Chevy Stepside
Is a stepside gas tank the same as a fleetside gas tank other than the sending unit ? Both trucks are short bed ,a guy on Craigslist is selling off his project in pieces and is selling a new unused gas tank with sending unit for less than I can order one and mine has a serious rust problem .

The 16 gal. tank is the same for fleetside and stepside. The filler neck is different though.

The sending units are the same too, its just the filler neck and hoses that are different.
