bags

What would be the most cost efficient way to bag a truck on a budget?

The best way is to check with some of our Vendors who sell the Bag System and check out their prices.

What is the dollar amount that you are wanting to spend. That might help others better answer your question.

Good Luck

Re: bags

I looked around and the systems look to be around $2500-$3k.
My budget is about $2k. Since I am new to this I was wondering if there is a cheaper way.
Thank for the help...

Re: bags

You should check out ridetech level 1 system. They have everything you need for $1900 with good reviews.

Re: bags

I don't mind building it in stages. What would be the basics parts i would need?
Here's a few pics of the truck.
  1. Drop spindles
  2. 4-air bags (with valves until I can get a management system)
  3. Rear notch
  4. 4-shocks

Re: bags

Contact Nate Porter on this site (porterbuilt) He can set you in the right direction, work within your price range and offer the best parts on the market.

Re: bags

You should talk to Travis at Pro Performance. I was in the same boat as you, but wasn't sure what exactly to do. They offer Porterbuilt and Ride Tech kits and components. My research has shown that both companies are similar, but Porterbuilt kits are a little more cost effective.

I'm like you and want to do mine in stages - as I have budget and as I have time to work on my truck. I just ordered (among other items) the rear stage one Porterbuilt kit. I plan to add the stage one front kit once the rear is done, and run them with valves until I put together the funds for compressors/tank/etc. Both kits include the bags, cups/plates, shocks and shock relocating hardware. Each kit is about $400 and the air management kit is about $1200. For about the same price as the Ride Tech kit, I'll have two compressors (vs. one) and a 5 gallon tank (vs. 3).

I'm not sure how low I want to go just yet, so I'll start there. I can add spindles and a C notch if I want to go lower, and Travis offers those items as well.

Here's his link: azproperformance.com

Good luck - Matt

I did mine for about 1000, just figure out the parts you need and hunt around for great deals

Re: bags

Has anyone used a York compressor to provide air to the system?
