cool cl score
this was on a nearby cl and the ad was about too expire i made contact a deal was struck and it was mailed too me (saved me some gas and besides i cant drive right now anyway)these buttons are one of the coolest features on any truck.
cl has its good points and definitly its bad points but this deal restored some of my faith that there are decent people out there

Re: cool cl score
you know its funny you said that when i talk to the guy he said a couple were broke off i thought i dont care after all i read your repair thread well as it turned out he mustve thought that there were more tabs where the nubs are.
anybody have a good way of getting these apart without breaking the metal tabs i think the inside center could be polished out

Re: cool cl score
Use a small screwdriver to carefully pry the tabs. They do NOT need to be bent all the way back. You should be able to "pop" the center out with some pressure after slightly bending them back. Hold it with both hands, fingers underneath and use both thumbs to push the center out of the ring.
If you are looking to polish it, I would just polish it as it sits in the ring.
