dash light's stoped working ??
the other night I was getting ready to leave the wife's Grandmothers house an go to turn on the head lights like normal an the dash lights came on dim , so I go to adjust to make a little brighter an they brighten up an went out an couldn't get them to come back on ? put in new headlight switch no change , checked power to floor dimmer switch was good high an low ?? not sure whats up ? all fuses are good . what color is the wire in the plug on the back of the cluster ? any help would be great ...

Had same problem on my 68 , looked up the wiring diagram you can find on this site , traced it to the wire going to the dash lights from the fusebox , the terminal had broke right at the fusebox. That was mine , could be anywhere on yours! Good luck , took me some time to trace mine out.

Not a 100% sure but I think the tail lights are also on that circuit. Do you have tail lights?

The tail lights worked last night coming back from Lake George New york Car Show .. I will have to look up the wiring Diagram for the fuse box an start there . I will let you know When I find the Problem .

Dash light wire is grey and also includes light in heat/defrost controls. If that light works it is probably the ground wire on the dash bezel.
