quick gearin question
My son's 67 has a built 355,308 duration that was pulling 11s out of a Pontiac
Ventura in the 1/4. [I] know the truck weighs more and am wondering what gearing we should install in it. It's not going to be a daily driver, just fun wekendtoy. Wold 3500 stall and a 411 or 456 get it motiveded down the road? Thanks for yout time and consideration. Nik Nikkila |

Re: quick gearin question
Nik, Tire size is key here. With a 33" tall tire a 5.x gear isn't too unheard of both for off roading or on the drag strip... a 28" tire and 3.73 gear is close to the same effective final ratio as 33" tire and 4.56 gears.
So we gotta have what diameter tire your going to run to make any kind of opinion / suggestion.
