Mystery Diagnosis.
Battery has juice. Tapped the starter and still didn't start. Was running fine day before. Did rain last night. Any guess why it wont start?

In the few times that's happened to me.. it was always a poor connection of the secondary wire coming off the positive, that goes across the rad support to the ignition.
May not be your problem, but a good place to begin. J

If it rained HARD... check for hairline cracks (or worse) in the distributor cap. They can let moisture in and cause it to not start.
If you're not sure, take off the cap, blow dry it, then re-install and see if it starts. Sounds stupid, I know - happened to me though. Truck kept drowning out over puddles, and this turned out to be the problem. |

I had the module go bad then I had the rotor button have a hole in it then after a new rotor button i forgot to thook a wire up and BOUT NEVER figured that one out

Every once and a while, the starter lead on the back of my ignition switch works out a little bit. The first time it happened it stumped me for a while. Now, I think of it as a kill switch.

remove both battery cables and clean all 4ends and where they mount reinstall cables

Problem solved. Issue is in the column. Hes a local firefighter and the truck landed at my shop. Hung A proper exhaust not now working out other issues.

Yeah he's right, the selector on the column is off track. It was just as simple as giving it a little nudge to make sure it was all the way in park and vroom I was off to the races again.
