Post Big Six, my first project.

This is the first time I've been part of a forum, please forgive me.

This is the Big Six, Took this photo about 30 minutes after I bought it, Had to stop over in Ottawa on my way back to Lawrence, needed to gas up and grab a tall can!

This is my 1970 C20, 250 I6, 4 speed manual w/ granny low, full floating rear, manual steering, manual breaks, wooden bed. All original, minus tune up, 80k original miles (came with a stack of old paperwork, receipts, old registrations, dealer info packet)

I have always dreamed of owning one of these trucks some day, last march I made that dream come true. I bought this beast from some 80 year old farmer in a small town about an hour and half south east of where I'm from. I'm the second owner. (Only paid $1400 for it!)

I call this my "rolling restoration project" because it is also my daily driver. It has its fair share of dings, none of them real sever. Almost no rust, except for a small patch that's ate away right behind the bumper on the passenger side, which I find unusual because the infamous "Kansas Kancer" has even began to take out Chevy's from the 2000's

My goal: To spend the next couple of years slowly restoring this pickup piece by piece until she's back to her original show room glory. I want to keep it original, minus a modern radio, some Duramax or H2 wheels. I also like the Idea of these LED side marker and tail light conversions. I've also been digging these turbo charged 250 videos I've seen on youtube (that's dreamin' though, lol)

More pictures to come as the work continues!

Re: Big Six, my first project.

Body looks damn straight for a farm truck and kudos for wanting to keep original I think that's the only way to go with classics I mean theyre called that for a reason right?
