Rear Coil upper mount missing

So I took my 68 to the shop the other day to have the exhaust put on. Dropped it off so they could put it on the lift and headed down the road a ways to stop at an ATM. When I got back the owner looks at me and says "yeah your exhaust will be no problem but you might want to look at this..."

Great.

I walk around the corner and my truck is up on the two post lift with the axle hanging down all cock-eyed... I'd never had it up on a two post before, either doing work on my uncle's four post or just using a couple jack stands. He showed me where the cup should have been and told me to get one pronto, (like I needed to be told that haha). My question is, is this the part I am looking for? I wish I had taken a pic of it at the time, but I completely forgot. I need the part that holds the top of the coil spring to the bottom of the frame on a trailing arm setup.

The link says 4 required per truck. I'm assuming that means 2 per side on the rear? I'm thinking of getting 4 new ones, but the one that's missing isn't still partially there like it rusted away. It's just missing all together, so I'm thinking the others might still be ok. Not sure why this ones gone, but with the PO I never know about anything...

Also, is it just me or does anyone else think he should have put one of those really tall stands under that side of the axle so he didn't mess anything else up with it hanging like that? He had one sitting in a corner not five feet away...

As always thanks again!

yeah thats the part you are looking for. There are 2 on each side one on the top and one on the bottom holding the spring to the frame and the trailinig arm.

Early Classic has them for sale for 9.00 each, take a look or give them a call.

If I am the man we have bigger problems than your rear spring mounts!
