rebuild the bed

hey guys i have a 68 swb. the bed floor is trashed but the sides are great. i have looked into buying a new floor but realized that was going to be around 1000 bucks. I searched around craigslist and found a guy that has a long bed floor for 25 bucks. I was wondering if anyone can help me. I want to know if I can just cut down the floor to the right size. I am not sure if all the holes will line up or not. thanks for all the help

Re: rebuild the bed

Yes, you can cut down the lwb floor....there are threads in the faq section showing where to cut the bedsides and that would transfer to the floor...

Re: rebuild the bed

For $25 you can't go wrong. If I had to do the floor I'd much rather cut down a long bed that to buy the panels.

I'm not sure if the holes will line up but a little welding and drilling should take care of that or if you can lay the good bed on the bed that's trashed you could do some aligning up that way.
