Re: Can only blame myself
Welcome to the forum. Sorry I can't really help with that but I know you will get somebody chime in soon. If I still lived in Pines I'd stop in and say hi! We lived on NW 15th Court just a block off Douglas and Taft.

Re: Can only blame myself
Check the plug on the back of your dizzy. When I replaced mine recently, I managed to bend a pin when I plugged it back in. It ran, but not very well. Are you getting spark at all?

Re: Can only blame myself
I was gonna to check all the plugs on the back of the distributor and make sure there all making connections and none of the pins got bent. Without actually pulling the distributor your timing still should be right!

Re: Can only blame myself
Thanks so much gentlemen, fought with this thing for hours I checked the pins behind dizzy they were fine.I was getting a steady spark at coil but a weak spark at plugs, replaced coil (out of frustration) same result put the old one back in.A friend had come over to help me out I suggested moving dizzy a little either way he said it wouldn't make a difference there is no adjustment that's what the crank shaft sensor is for, not to bore you guys he notice something odd about the C shaped dizzy hold down piece (wrong one for vehicle) turned dizzy and bingo! Motor was swaped by a clown about ten months ago who never responded to the first warranty situation I'm sure you guys are familiar with these rip off artists (they're all over).Again I want to thank you all! And should you ever need help in the a/c or major appliance field don't hesitate to contact me! God bless, George
