Re: interesting upgrade////daytona beach craigs

It wouldn't fit one of our trucks without hacking but for a guy with an 81 Corvette who is dead set on having it appear as it rolled off the show room floor in 81 that might be a find. My buddy sold a couple of NOS Delco Radios with built in 8 tracks for serous money a few years ago when he sold off a stash of parts that he had rescued from the dumpster after the factory rep went though a dealership's parts inventory and pitched them because they were obsolete. I think he had them on the shelf in his garage for 25 years.

I wanted to put put an 8 track in my rig but found that they are usually too deep for our dashes.

Im surprised they were still doing 8 tracks in 81. I graduated HS in 77 and cassettes were already coming on strong.

He wants too much cabbage for that thing. But then again... it is out of a "Corvette"... so that ups the price by 2/3rds.

Just because I couldn't handle it doesn't mean I don't want it!
