All Cleaned Up and Running!
I just got the truck all cleaned up and running. I just pulled it out of the garage for a few pics. I didn't throw the hub caps back on because I need to take the wheels down and get the tires replaced. I think at one time while it was sitting, the previous owner put fix-a-flat in the tires and let it sit. They where bias ply tires and need replaced anyways. Now if I can talk my wife into letting me drive it for a bit before tearing it down to get it painted back to the original color.

Re: All Cleaned Up and Running!
My GMC had those same side mirrors on it when I got it. That must have been an aftermarket thing back in 70(ish?)

Re: All Cleaned Up and Running!
I plan on going back to originals. Plus they did a crappy job of cover the original holes.

Re: All Cleaned Up and Running!
New tires are a good call. I bought a motorhome last year and I was told it had new tires on it. I foolishly only checked the outer duals. Going across country I had two blowouts- on the inner duals. One tire had been manufactured in 92 and the other in 94. Now I won't run anything that has a tire production code more than 6 years old.
By the way, congratulations- it looks like a nice truck. |

Re: All Cleaned Up and Running!
Thank you for finally posting some good outside pics. I've had my fix now. I think it will look in its factory colors.

Looks clean and solid. Will be watching for progress reports.
Btw I made several trips through your area to I 75 over the past few weeks. Gotta preemie grand daughter in the hospital in Albany.
