Re: New cowl hood problems
My '72 had the same problem. I had to realign doors and fenders to get the hood right. Good Luck.

Re: New cowl hood problems
My cowl hood fits like crap too. How much should I expect to pay a body man to line up my doors, fenders and hood? I would find a body shop with someone willing to do the work "on the side"

Re: New cowl hood problems
Here's my recent cowl woes. The underside brace on the driver's side shows 5 spot welds. Only 3 of these held the metal in place (circled in photo). Those 3 welds broke allowing the skin to hit the brace everytime I shut the hood. The gap identified by the arrow will open up as much as an inch. I didn't notice this right away. I found a small outward ding on my beautifully painted hood. Did some investigating and found the broken welds. I have a new stock hood at the body shop getting painted. Meanwhile this sits in the corner of my garage.
