PorterBuilt Problem (Nate please respond)

I installed my upper control arms and the passenger side went easy no issues at all. I did run into a problem with the driver side as you can see in the pictures. The poly bushing will not go in all the way. It seems to me the the front arm of the upper control arm might be a hair in and not allowing the bushing to seat up against it. The bushings are tight up against the center rod on both sides so there is really no more room to push the bushing in. That is why I am thinking that the front arm is off by maybe an eighth of an inch. If Nate is around and says this small gap is ok then I am ok with it I guess. Also as you can see in the picture im short two nyloc nuts does anyone know where I can buy some? home depot and lowes only go up to 1/2" which is not big enough.

Any tractor supply store should have the nyloc nuts.

Re: PorterBuilt Problem (Nate please respond)

Shoot us a pm with your number so we can give you a call on Monday. Sometimes the bushing can get a little tight due to some paint or powdercoat around the edge where it slips into the bushing sleeve. If this happens, it can pinch the arm in a little at the top. That looks like what has happened. I will give you some info on how to correct it, or make sure this is actually what happened. Easy fix.

By the way, best form of contact is to call us at the shop or send an email/private message. That will help us get back to you more quickly. You got lucky today!

Nate

this is going to sound crazy but I went back out into the garage and I guess the bushing is relaxing or something because now the gap has shrunk its almost touching now
