Re: Progess Report
I might hook the power up to the heated seats. I will need to figure out how and where to install a reastat to control the temperature for each seat. I was just glad to get the 6 way adjustment and lumbar support working.

Re: Progess Report
Finally got the windows tinted and new wheels and tires on. It was the wrong time of day to take pictures so I will try and get some better ones in the next day or two. Feels good to be able to drive it!

Re: Progess Report
Burb looks great! I really like the stance. I read the part about 2" dropped springs in the front but missed how much you dropped the rear. How does it ride with the shorter springs in the front?

Re: Progess Report
what did you use to make your steering wheel black and shiny like it is?

Re: Progess Report
The front springs are the CPP 2" drop and the ride is fine. Yesterday I swapped my wheels and tires for set of American Racing 17" rims and 245/70/17" tires. These really fill up the wheel well and I like them much better. I need to put some tire black on the tires then the rims should really pop. I left the stock springs in the back. The back is 1" higher than the front. Not radical but gives it a little rake.
The steering wheel is a Z-28 cord wrapped steering wheel. I'm not sure what was put on it to make shiny like that. That is how I got it. Thanks for all the compliments. I'm getting lots of looks when driving it. |

Re: Progess Report
My speedometer is way off now that I have a 3:08 rear end and these larger tires. I talked with a few transmission shops in town about changing the speedometer gearing. They all told me these parts were hard to find. I came home and searched the internet and found TCI. Gave them a call and all the specs. They had all the parts I needed for $50 delivered. Now I just need to install them.

Re: Progess Report
It's a bitter sweet day. The first guy who came to the house to see it bought it. Oh well I had some fun and got to meet some really great guys on this website.
