Was this a factory option? Or something else?

Hey guys, i just bought a parts truck and it has a grill guard that either looks factory or a dealer install, it's chrome, and mounted to the rubber bumper guards by bolts.. Any information would be helpful about it. Thanks!

For a parts truck, thats a gem. Lots off cool stuff on it like chrome windshield surround, mirrors, chrome vent windows, that grill guard bumper thing. I think you lucked out!

The first thing that came to my damaged brain is the grille bar for a '54-55 Oldsmobile. That part isn't one, but it made me think of one. That bar looks like it might have been trimmed on the bottom side, to fit the contours of the bumper guards. I too have seen the vertical guards, but no topper.
