Tailgate attachment area replacement
Ok guys, my 71 suburban has a pretty bad rust hole in the back cargo area by the tailgate, and the cross member the tailgate bolts to is getting weak as well. I've searched around, but haven't found a vendor with those parts, any body have a idea where I can pick them up? Nobody I have seen local has a suburban they are parting out, and not sure if pickup has the same rear section.
Thanks in advance Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Tailgate attachment area replacement
Pics will help everyone to visualize exactly what you are dealing with and attempting to remedy....I would think you need to find someone that is parting one out. I have a '72 that I will be parting completely, but, just too far from you to help....

Re: Tailgate attachment area replacement
Best thing to do is find a guy here on this forum that is parting out a burb who can cut that entire rear section out for you.
