355 heads/cam 700R4 w/ 2200rpm converter 3.73 255/60/15 (28"-ish) 22-2300 RPM at 70mph locked. 2500-2600 unlocked. This is pretty much the ideal gearing in my opinion, although I prefer to cruise at 65mph. Every truck has an ideal cruising speed, mine is governed by road and wind noise, vibrations, etc.

You'll love this...
1968 C50 327 2 barrel carb gears - roughly 7.20:1 tires 7.50-20 4 speed granny gear trans 3700 RPM at 60 mph I had it up to 60 one time, never again w/o some serious modifications
