They should be the same all you need to change out is the radiator support if im correct
i changed my front end from a 74 to 82, i had to change everything
but if im correct they 81-87 trucks and 81-91 suburbans have the same sgeet metal

Correct. Change the rad support and everything should go together just the same. You'll have to do some wiring though. That can be found with a quick search. Good luck, and post some pics!
