Looking for a cab step
My wife has a tough time climbing into the cab of our '69 and I started looking around for a bolt-on step. All I've found so far are universal mounts but nothing specifically made for our trucks. Searching here hasn't helped since "truck step" brings up nothing but hundreds of posts about step sides. I'm looking for just a small step, not a full nerf bar or step bar.
If I get a universal mount, does it bolt to the cab or frame or both? Any help? |

Re: Looking for a cab step
Doub't you will find a current production, model specific step other than possibly a nerf bar. Over the years there have been many styles as popular owner add ons. Running from a small cast angle that bolted to the rocker to the full tilt camper slide outs that attached to the door and the cab extending as you opended the door. Your best bet is to hit the parts classifieds if you want a period correct set. Might even subscribe and post a WTB (want to buy) add. I will look throgh my pictures if you want for examples, but only on request.

Re: Looking for a cab step
I'm not really looking for anything period correct, but I don't want anything that looks completely out of place either. A small single hoop step would probably work just fine, provided I can mount it securely. Photos of some examples would be great.

Here is what I did on mine but they may be more than you want to pay. I can't remember exactly but its around $500 for the pair.

Re: Looking for a cab step
these are Bully steps and mount to cab. I'm not light and I step on them to wash the truck and like you my wife needs them to get in.
