Door weatherstrip - all the same, or not?

In the back of pretty much every car magazine you're sure to see a handful of ads for weatherstripping... each claims to be special, yet is there really any difference?

I like the notion of "soft seal" so that you don't have to slam the door, but I'm wondering if its just a marketing slogan or an actual feature of the product.

Has anyone tried a couple of different brands such that they have perspective on one being any different than the other?

Buy the press on seals from GMCPaul or Wes (Classicheartbeat) They are the best ones out there.

Press on here,I was able to put mine over cured weatherstrip adhesive and still get a good fit and seal.If you are partial to the smell of the glue just open the tube while your putting the push on stuff on.

Ditto!!! The hardest part installing the GMC Pauls was that I removed all the old glue(mine was very thick) first!! That is easier if you get some 3m general purpose adhesive cleaner part#08984 soak a sturdy cloth and just keep rubbing once it softens it just wipes away!! GMC Pauls are the "BEST"!!!!!
