why is my truck doing this?

sometimes my truck will do the most aggrevating thing.mostly while driving on the freeway it was feel like its not getting enough fuel to run,it will sputter and buck and then stall.restart it and it runs fine for a few feet then it does it all over again.once in a great while it will do it on the surface streets and it seems to do it more when its hot outside.this is driving me nuts and if something is wrong i cant have my truck down for long seeing at its my only vehicle.please help me.thanks in advance

i'll guess filter

could be fuel filter either inline or the sock type in the tank...maybe even air filter could be something blocking the air flow at highway speed?

is it doing this at certain speeds? could be the fuel filter, could be that d*** sock in the tank could be the choke on the carb, if youve got a qjet carb i fixed that prob on my truck by spraying the choke down with some berryman carb cleaner. didnt have a problem with it till the 7th piston chipped :p
