Re: How do yall set yalls body lines?
Thansk for the clarificaton seymore! Why didnt they make this with bushings under the bed becaue i thought it would only make sense that the bushing would help take vibration out of the bed or partial frame?

Because you don't feel or hear any vibrations that come from the bed (...unless you are riding in the bed). The only vibrations that you feel are in the cab and front end sheet metal - hence the cab and radiator support are mounted on rubber isolators. K

Re: How do yall set yalls body lines?
Interresting. Thanks
Make sence when you take into considerationn Load Compression if the beds were shimmed this would possibly lead to a loose mount (spelled rattle) later on |

Re: How do yall set yalls body lines?
Well i finally had a chance to do the bushings
and its a bi*** to do without the right tools but it can be done lol I for some reason couldnt find none of our bottle jacks, so i had to use 2 scissor jacks on concrete bricks, this made it fun trying to get in and out of under the truck fun also if you have more free time you can take of the tank and it would make it easier i didnt put one jack my the front passenger cab bushing and another one in the middle back(my frame, tank, exhaust was in they way so i did with what i had it was a slow process of turning on scissor jack and then the other These things were toast you have to lift like a good 4-5 inches to get the bushings back in you could still see the part numbers on these old rubbers lol not bad for 38 year olds did lift my passenger side like 1/2-3/4 of a inch my passenger side body line almost match now drivers side is a little higher, i think the po put a few 6 extra washer to try and fix it, will take a look in a bit

Re: How do yall set yalls body lines?
It still looks like the driver side is higher than the bed line. Could they have possibly over shimmed the driver side mount?

Re: How do yall set yalls body lines?
yea i think once i remove those washers it should line up
and should flush the passenger side a little more if you see in the third pic it leans a little bit but i think if i remove like 4-6 of them it should level it out
