Fuel tank swap??

I've got a 72' 2wd and I'm starting to rebuild it going to put a wooden bed off of a 69 on and I'm wanting to put the fuel tank in the frame but I don't want to cut a hole in the bed side for the fill tube any opinions or any nifty ideas anyone could throw to me

Re: Fuel tank swap??

I've heard of people putting it in the marker light. That's the route I'm going with when the time comes.

Marker light, tail light, stake hole, right through the bottom of the bed, liecense plate, inside the wheel well. I guess you could always run a long tube up to the original filler too. Plenty of options pretty sure they have all been done if you do a search. Welcome to the board.
