I pulled mine out of the garage (under it's own power.) for the first time in 15 years.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Got stuck last week at a show and thought my alternator went bad, but after having it check and they told me it was fine. Had to do more looking at why i wasn't getting power to my batteries. these pic's are what i found, good reason why i wasn't putting out 14 volts..... the bottom pic is of the 4 gage wire i used to get the power to the batteries! I don't understand why anyone would cut a wire and use a wire half it's size and leave it that way.

I had problems with mine years ago like that, after I had paid a guy 500 to rewire the truck. Unwrapped the new tape and found three wires of various gauges, four or five splices and one wire that was so long it had been doubled over twice, all crimped at the end into one fitting. Lots of burned wires too. The "not my truck" attitude.
