need some advice

I have a 62' c-10 short fleet..the cab (like most) had alot of rust/rought through the floor boards. I was lucky enough to to find some one who let me have their 64' cab, doors, hood, and front fenders for free. I modified the floor in the 64' to match the cab mounts on the 62' frame....but what about the clutch. The original 62' had a hydrolic clutch and the firewall in the 64' is made for a mechanical clutch. is it easirer to change the pedals and drill a hole in the fire wall or change the clutch to a mechanical one? What if I put new disc brakes on it?

Re: need some advice

Which way to go depends on what your plans are for your truck. So I gather you are using the complete '64 cab instead of the '62 cab? If you are wanting to keep the original engine and trans that is in the '62 frame, then you will have to convert the '64 cab to use the hydraulic clutch. This is due to the bellhousing accomodating a hydraulic clutch only. If you are contemplating changint the bellhousing and trans to something newer, then the mechanical clutch may be the way to go. That is unless you are looking at a much newer trans such as the NV3500, which is a hydraulic clutch only.

As for the disc brake question. I assume you are referring to the installation of power brakes along with the discs? If so, I sell power brake booster brackets that will work with either the mechanical clutch or the mechanical clutch. There are links in my signature line \/ \/ \/ \/
