Re: what headers are you runnin

re you running a manual trans or an auto trans? Is this truck going to be lowered much?

The Hedman #69260's are the ones designed to be used in these trucks with either trans, but they have 1-1/2" primaries. The Hedman #69090's will work on these trucks with either trans, and are 1-5/8" primaries. Hooker #2452's will also work. However these are all long tube headers, and may hang down too low if you are going to lower your truck much. Those part numbers are for plain painted headers. Those are all available in ceramic coated under a different part number

Re: what headers are you runnin

Don't post on here much, but I do poke around a bit. I have a 65 with a 350 and borg and Warner t18. Looking for a set of headers that WILL NOT hang below the frame, because I plan on bagging it. Any advice?

Re: what headers are you runnin

If you are running a manual trans with the original bellhousing crossmember, those will not work. If you have converted to an auto trans, they should work, but I can't say there won't be any mods necessary. They will likely hit the motor mount brackets.

Re: what headers are you runnin

What about, if you have a 350eng.ounted in the forward mounting holes? Them what headers (ceramic) will clear the 1976 front end crossmember, and allow good access to the oil filter and the drain plug, the first set I tried did not allow either, (she is a 1965,fleet, c10)

Re: what headers are you runnin

I went with a set of flowtech's a few years ago, if memory serves me they were for a full size car and fit like a glove. I think they offer them in ceramic coated also.
