1972 sbc motor mounts vs 67-71 sbc motor mounts
im wondering if the 72 sbc engine stands and mounts are different from 71 and prior are like the bbc chevs are, if they are different do they still bolt up in the same location?
i ask because my truck had an I6 in it so my motor sits too far back, id like to correct this problem and install the v8 mounts, i know where there is a 72 chev with the drivetrain in tact so id like to get the motor mounts and driveshaft from it providing the engine mounts will work |

Go to this link and read through it. The '72s will work fine. I'd grab everything you think you might need, use or even resell.

Re: 1972 sbc motor mounts vs 67-71 sbc motor mounts
thanks tim i saw that before from my engine clearance thread, the pic with the 68-71 bbc stand and the 67-72 sbc stands is where i got confused and got the 68-71 sbc thought from, im going to see what the guy wants for the whole truck since i want the fenders, grill, sport bumper off of it also so if the price is right i will drag it home and strip it, it also had factory buckets that are long gone

Depending on the rust issue there might still be bucket seat parts present I'd be interested in.
