Got the 69 running
FINALLY got the key for the 69 Chevy custom half ton I bought last week. The old truck has sat for about 8 years since the original owner passed away. I put some tires on it and loaded it on my trailer and have been cleaning and stuff on it while waiting for a key. It is an original 350, automatic, air with power steering. Body is straight but paint has the sun bleached patina (maroon). Anyway got the key and after pouring gas in the carb twice, it fired up and ran like a new one, seriously! Now just barely turn the key and she fires up and purrs. Drove it down the road and it is tight and drives good, just need to bleed the brakes. I really like this old truck........

Re: Got the 69 running
Congrats on your purchase. Besure to change out the fuel filter. You could start having issues with debris in the tank. Don,t forget oil change. Just a suggestion!
