Engine Tower Question

Hope someone can help me out on this. I have a set of sbc frame mounted towers from a 71 2wd 350 with auto. Actually just sold them and they are going out in the morning. I was comparing them to another set of frame mounted towers that are similar in appearance but are about 2-3 inches longer. They came from a 68 GMC, I think it had a 305 V-6 in it. Question, are the V-6 engine towers actually differant from the V-8 towers ? Thanks to all replies.
