Here we go,dually conversion starts

Hi guys, since the sub didn't sell I'm gonna start the swap. This is what it looks like as it sits in the shop right now. I'm thinking that since I didn't sell "HE" is at least gonna make this easy for me. Went junkyarding testerday at my local yard and found the perfect donor. 86 3/4 ton PU. Dana 44 4:10 front end:14 bolt FF, 4:10 gear rear end. Was a utility box truck all its life with only 68,000 miles.Gonna get it this weekend, grew up with owners older brother(that allways helps) 600 bucks with sway bar for the front too. New springs shackles,u-bolts from Mi. Truck Spring. They were my spring supplier for years, so I still get wholesale prices. Found a set of 6 dually wheels and arrowcraft spacers on CL last night. YEA!. Will start to strip truck soon and will sell all lift stuff to recoup some dollars. Will be a complete 4" lift with 8 ranchos and the cragers and bfgs plus front brush guard. Will bolt up everything to mock up then dissasemble for blast and re-build. New stock length ranchos and disc swap on the rear end. Arrow craft fenbers in the spring, then paint to match. Gotta go with simulators, can get killer Pacific Dually ones from work at cost, tires too. Check out my B-I-Ls website(hoggerscustoms.com) he'll do the paint for me and add/touch up his pinstripping.More later,Dan

Re: Here we go,dually conversion starts

Thanks bro, got a few new things going in the last few days. Scrapping the front spacer idea, gonna lengthen the axle tubes on my 10 bolt by 2 inches on both sides.Talked to superior axle and they will make me a new set 2"s longer than stock. Got a line on a dana 70 that is completly re-built(screaming deal) but has ford hubs. The cost fo new GM hubs far outweighs the cost to re-build w/brakes any other axle I may buy.
