3/4 to 1/2 ton info needed

I'm buying a super clean low mileage 67 3/4 ton in a couple weeks and i'm toying with the Idea of converting it to a 1/2 ton. Could someone steer me in the right direction to some build threads. thanks in advance.

Personally, I'd just leave it 3/4...

You'd have to do LOTS of work, including changing axle(s) back to 6 lug.

Like I said, I don't see the need to cut up a 3/4 ton, but that's just me.

I have a '71 C20 that I plan on lowering and converting to 5 lug wheels. I'm probably not going to call it a 3/4 ton or a 1/2 ton. Unless your worried about cargo capacity, who cares?

Check out my build thread. I went from a 3/4 to a 1/2 ton. I didn't "cut anything up" either. I swapped in an entire 1/2 ton SWB rolling chassis. If all you want to do is go from 3/4 to 1/2, swap out your rear end for a 12 bolt (6 lug or 5 lug, whatever you prefer) and it is the perfect time to convert to disk brakes in the front (again, you can do 6 lug or 5 lug here)
