Finally Finished Up The Suburban

-
Well, It's on the road. I changed out the rear coils, put a new clutch on the fan, put the fan shroud on, & checked the lube in the differential. I had the exhaust put on last Thursday. That should about wrap it up... I think I'm ready to head for Kansas City Friday morning. Pat Says "Why didn't you wait until the last minute to do this stuff", I told her I do my best work when I'm under pressure..... I've actually been working on it since last fall.

It has a 260hp 350 crate engine with a 2004r automatic overdrive trans.

Thanks guys. I had to fix the sending unit in the tank this morning. It quit working...

Mark: I will probably put it and the Red/White '70 up for sale and which ever one sells first I will keep the other one. If neither one sells I'll keep 'em both..... I'll be able to tell you more after the 500 mile trip in it this weekend. I "know" how the '70 rides on the same trip. (great)

It looks great Leon! What's it with you and 69/70 hoods and 71/72 grills? I know, dumb luck I'm guessing. Art has a cure for you, but it won't be cheap.

Well, I wanted to get this thing on the road, and the '69 grill is in good shape but it is scratched all to hell. I didn't have time to strip and polish it so I used the original grill and front bumper off of the Red & White '71. I will get the '69 parts ready this winter and switch them in the spring.

I can understand that. I've been dreading polishing my grill shell too.

It's working out great. I pulled the 20' trailer for the first time today with no problem. ( I just put the hitch on this morning)

Thanks! I waxed it for the first time today. I am going to pull one of the floats in the Homecoming parade tomorrow night... Looking forward to that.
