the hump is not from using a dropmember it more from running an auto tranny not alot of room in there for auto especially an OD.

I think the DM moves the engine up a couple of inches, which is why it works better with a high hump

So where is the best place to find a tall hump. I assume these are taken from 4x4'? I have looked and I can not find any one making these as a replacement. Thanks

I am also looking for the high hump if anyone knows where to find one let me know plz.
My 64 has a 4 speed but wouldn't know if it was in there before or not, the truck is in shipping and i haven't seen it in person yet so cant check. Would the vin tell you what gearbox i had? |

arizona parts steve almeter helped me and got me both pieces 585-314-7907 let him know dave from ny with the suburban sent you he may be able to get you what you need he kind of specializes in these trucks.
