If people want to try them, I usually have the best prices on pacesetters :-)

Re: Trailblazer SS pacesetter headers fit 67-72???

I can offer this bit of insight.
When I went to buy my trailblazer ss cast manifolds, the owner had a new set of long tubes for his tbss waiting to go in. He let me fudge around a bit and we looked, at the clearances to see if his new headers would work. The area where the headers overlap and merge is too wide compared to the cast manifold, at least in my application (66 with mount adapters, sitting about 1" forward.

Re: Trailblazer SS pacesetter headers fit 67-72???

Measured the manifolds, the farthest they stick out from the cylinder heads looks to be 3-3.5". And thats not counting the flange, thats just the straightway where all the tubes come in. Both flanges seem to stick out about 5-5.5" at their farthest from the flat flange on the back of the block that bolts to the tranny. The driver's side flange hangs down 6.5-7" and the passenger side hangs down about 7-7.5" from the center of the last manifold to cylinder head bolt.

Re: Trailblazer SS pacesetter headers fit 67-72???

I am very interested to see if this will work as I am about to make a header purchase. I was leaning to the camaro dynatech headers 68gmc used but this might be a alternative.

I'm not needing headers now, but a few on here are looking, would you have a set of the camaro headers so as to hook us up with some measurements?

I do not have any here with me, someone can purchase them and take all the measurements they want

Re: Trailblazer SS pacesetter headers fit 67-72???

I have used the canaries headers in the past and didn't like hoe much reining I had to do to the pass side frameto get them in and the driver kick out.

Re: Trailblazer SS pacesetter headers fit 67-72???

i tried the pacesetters on my 66 and the headers fit fine, but the crossover pipe wouldnt work. I think they would work just fine, but you would have to fab up the exhaust starting at the header outlet.
