Re: New truck build.
Made some progress............I finished blasting and sanding most of the frame and I actually got to bolt on some parts that I have bought. I also finished up the c-notch as well. Next up is the rear differential and front suspension parts. Check it out and let me know what yall think.

Re: New truck build.
Its looking really good!!! Im about 3 weeks into my build, I thought I was just going to do paint job....... Every time I work on it Im tearing it done futher. I wish I could just do like you and tear it all the way down and do a frame up, but I know it would take me forever.... Good luck to you....

Love the silver look on the frame, it'll look super against a black drive train. Updates?

Re: New truck build.
Like the silver on the frame as well. Only downside I see is that it will show grime really easy specially for a DD. Seems like your making good headway.

The 69' has a new home!
Well, not much of an update on the progress of the truck. But, now that I have more room to work and move around it's time to get back to business. The family and I moved about 3 weeks ago and I finally got the rest of my things out of storage. I wanted to wait on getting the truck out of storage because I wanted to get the new garage floor painted and get the cabinets in. I've just about got everything organized and put away where I want it. Anyway, to make a long story short here are a few pictures of the new home and garage. I just wanted to share. Thanks again guys for being part of the best forum on the net.

Re: New truck build.
Looking good, have you thought about running your exhaust yet? rear crossmember is alot easier to modify at the current stage than after the build, with the 2/4 drop it isn't really necessary but personally I like the tucked look. Looks like a good starting point, mine is in need of a donor cab, so it's all teardown for now

Re: New truck build.
I decided on a 4.5/6 drop for the truck, no air bags just spindles and coils. I hope that this will not be to low for a static drop, besides It wont be a daily driver either. I have all of the suspension parts bought already, just need to finish painting the frame (got scratched up moving to and from starage).

Re: New truck build.
Man it's good to be home! Been back from a deployment now for a couple of weeks and was able to get in the garage for the first in an extremely long time. I haven't done much yet due to spending time with the family but I promise yall that I will dive in head first. I did have one issue though. When I went to put on the new upper coss shafts on the front a-arms I couldn't get them seated flush with the sides of the a-arm. Not sure if maybe there is an exact science to putting these on or I'm just having bad luck.
