Yeah i would go with a beefed up 4l80 less moving parts less stuff to go wrong or break.

I am about to put the same in my suburban, but it is the older gear vendors.
I hope it will work out fine. I am going to have a manual switch to activate it, and a switch feeding it only in 2wd. My transmission kit came out of an -86 crew cab diesel. |
